  1. Congratulations on your purchase of EEbond version 8.1.  The entire program
  2. has been rewritten to create a more stable, efficient and tighter
  3. application.  EEbond now incorporates all three types of bonds into one
  4. program.
  5.  
  6. EEbond version 8.1 IS compatable with version 8.  EEbond version 8.1 is not
  7. compatable with EEbond versions 1 through 7 or Ebond versions 1 through 5.
  8. You will need to run the conversion routines to change the data from
  9. versions 1-7 of EEbond and/or versions 1-5 of Ebond.

  11. Steps:
  12.         1.  Make sure that both your *.dat files and *.idx files from the
  13.             earlier versions are in the same directory that you will be
  14.             running your conversions from.
  15.  
  16.         2.  For EEbond run IMPORTEE.EXE and for Ebond run IMPORTE.EXE.
  17.  
  18.         3.  Run IMPORTBA
  19.  
  20.         4.  The newly created database file will be called TOVER8.DB.
  21.             This file can be opened from within EEbond Version 8 and
  22.             saved to a different, more appropriate name.

  24.             This installation is now complete.

  29.         When in the Data Entry screen or the Redemption Date Screen,
  30.         you can use the TAB key to highlight fields.  Some people find
  31.         this easier than the mouse.

  34. Compatability
  35.  
  36.         EEBond Version 8.1 is compatable with EEbond Version 8.
  37.  
  38. Performance
  39.  
  40.         EEbond Version 8.1 may run somewhat slower on some machines.
  41.         This is because EEbond must create the whole report before
  42.         displaying it to you in a scrollable window.  EEbond versions
  43.         1 through 7 and Ebond Versions 1 through 5 generated each line of
  44.         the report one line at a time and displayed it.  The earlier versions
  45.         did not allow you to scroll backwards through the report.
  46.         Nevertheless, I'm working on faster code so that it will be
  47.         significantly faster for future versions.
